Red Light. Green Light. Choose The Right

Yesterday I got home from work around 3pm and both boys were still taking a nap (Titan had early release). I sit down on the couch and do nothing...which is SUPER RARE for me.  About 30 min later Titan comes downstairs and sits on the couch with a weird look on his face.

"Whats going on bud, you OK?" -Me
"Mom I had a rough day today...I got a red light" -Titan
"Titan you got another one? That's your 3rd red light this week. What happened this time." -Me

Green light = good day, Red light = Not a good day. Usually he gets green lights.
Before this week he had only ever gotten 3 red lights- can you guess what for????   TALKING, yup he is most defiantly my son...a social bug. :)

"I was out on recess and I was playing with Armando and we were playing NINJAS and I wanted to get pass him and he was blocking me....... (he now has big sad eyes and fighting tears) so I kicked him." -Titan
"You kicked someone?? Where did you kick him?" -Me
"I kicked him in the....(looking down and now crying) PEANUTS." -Titan

I could not help it but I started laughing uncontrollably.  I know I shouldn't have but his face was epic.  I know he felt awful, but I was in shock that Titan did that, but also how he looked while he was telling me.

By now Titan looks really confused he starts crying harder and than starts laughing through his alligator tears.
I calmed myself down and told him that I shouldn't have laughed because that is not a nice thing for him to do to someone.  We than had about a 15-20 min conversation on "Choosing The Right" and what it means.

Here is a tid bit:
"what can we do to make sure you choose the right at school?" -Me
"if you don't forget to read me scriptures and say prayers everyday than I know that I won't get red lights and not kick people in the peanuts." -Titan
"OK bud its a deal." -Me
"I only ever want green lights its choosing the right decision." -Titan

Even though Titan had a red light that day at school I am so proud of him.....
 1. He was honest by telling me
 2. He felt bad for hurting someone
 3. We had a very grow up conversation about Choosing the Right
 4. Lastly and most impressive to me is his testimony of Jesus Christ. He knows that by reading the scriptures and saying prayers Jesus will help him to Choose The Right.

These moments are sometimes to far and few between, with the hustle and bustle of life.  Thank you Titan for helping me to realize the important things in life and the simple truths of the gospel.  Your testimony Titan is a great example for Blayze as well as me and your dad! We love you Bud :) We are SOOOO proud of you!!
